The IIM CAT 2024 exam was conducted on 24 November 2024 in three shifts. The first shift was commenced from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by the second shift from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and the third shift from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The response sheet was released on November 29 and the provisional answer key was released on December 3, 2024. The objection window was closed on December 5, 2024.
IIM Calcutta will publish the final answer key alongside the results. Of the 2.93 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, 1.07 lakh are female candidates, 1.86 lakh are male candidates and 5 are transgender candidates. The CAT 2024 results will be determined using a normalization method. The normalization process considers various factors, including the highest and lowest scores, the mean and median scores, as well as the top 10 and lowest percentiles.

CAT Result 2024: How to check the result, once released?
- Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in.
- Then click on the result link available on the home page.
- Enter your CAT ID and password.
- The result will be displayed on the screen of the candidate.
- After viewing, download the same.
- The candidates can take a printout for future reference.
