The candidates may note that the last date to pay the application fee is 31 December 2024. After closing the application window, the corrections window will be opened on 1 and 2 January 2025. The applicants will be allowed to make changes to their application form through this window if required.
The computer-based test will be conducted from February 16 to 28, 2025. The duration of the exam will be 180 minutes. The paper will be bilingual i.e., Hindi and English. This exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and Colleges.
The candidates will have to pay application fees according to the category they belong to i.e.
General: Rs 1150
General-EWS/OBC(NCL): Rs 600
SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: RS 325
CSIR UGC NET 2024: Eligibility criteria
The candidates must not exceed 28 years of age. The upper age limit is extendable by up to 5 years for SC, ST, Third gender, PwD, and Females and by up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). However, there is no upper age limit for applying for the post of Lectureship (LS) or assistant professor.
Also, they must hold a degree in BTech, BE, BPharma, MBBSBS (four years) or Integrated BS-MS, MSc with a minimum of 55 percent marks for General (UR, General-EWS, and OBC (50 percent for SC, ST, Third gender, and PwD).

- Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website i.e. nta.ac.in.
- Then click on the application link available on the home page.
- Register yourself and fill out the application form.
- Upload the required documents and pay the application fees.
- At last click on submit and save the confirmation page.
- Candidates can take a printout for future reference.
