The candidates may note that the application window for the same will remain open till 22 November 2024 by 9.00 pm. The examination will be commenced from 22 to 31 January 2025. The admit card for the examination will be released 3 days before the examination date.
Class 12 students who have passed exams with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one chemistry, biotechnology, biology, and technical vocational subjects. Candidates who have passed Class 12 exams in 2023, and 2024 will be eligible to apply.
Those who are appearing in the 2025 board exams will also be eligible. There is no age limit to apply for the IIT JEE Mains exam 2025, however, they will be required to fulfill the age criteria if it’s applicable for the institute applying for.

JEE Main 2025: What is the state code of eligibility?
If a candidate has passed the Class 12 exam from one state but appeared for improvement from another state, the state code of eligibility will be from where the candidate first passed the qualifying exam and not from where they appeared for improvement.
Those who have passed Class 12 or appearing for the exam from NIOS should select the state of eligibility according to the state in which the study center is located. For Indian nationals passing the Class 12 exam from Nepal or Bhutan, the eligibility will be determined based on a permanent address in India as given in the passport of the candidate.
Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) passing the Class 12 from an institution abroad are eligible for other state quota seats or All India quota seats, but not for Home State quota seats in all NITs, IIITs, and Other-CFTIs.
