Meghalaya Scholarship for Students with Disabilities: Fresh Applications are invited from the students with disabilities (with a minimum 40% disability) for the Meritorious Scholarship from CLASS – XI onwards for the Current Academic Year 2021-22, which is being implemented by The Government of Meghalaya through The State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (SRCDA), Civil Hospital, Shillong. The last date for submission of the application is 30th November 2021.

Scholarship Name:- Meghalaya Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2021-22

  • Funding Organization:- State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (SRCDA), Civil Hospital, Shillong
  • Scholarship Amount:- The amounts of the monthly Scholarship from the different Categories/Streams of Higher & Technical Education are as follows:
    # Class XI & XII: Rs. 2,000/- per month.
    # Graduate level (General, Honours, etc.): Rs. 3,000/- per month.
    # Post Graduate and Under Graduate Professional and Technical Courses: Rs. 4,000/- per month.
    # Graduate Level Professional & Technical Courses, M. PHIL, P.hD., etc.: Rs. 5,000/- per month.
  • Eligibility Criteria:- Student studying CLASS- XI onwards with minimum 40% disability. The student should be a resident of Meghalaya.

How to apply for Meghalaya Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

The interested students with disabilities who are permanent residents of Meghalaya may collect the Application Forms on payment of Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten only from the following Centres:

  1. District Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (DRCDA), Civil Hospital, Shillong.
  2. District Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (DRCDA), Civil Hospital, Tura.
  3. District Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (DRCDA), Civil Hospital, Nongstoin.
  4. District Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (DRCDA), Civil Hospital, Jowai.
  5. Office of The District Social Welfare Officers (DSWO’s) of ALL the 11 Districts.
  6. WAD offices attached to all Civil Hospitals

The Forms will be available from 8th November 2021 to 17th November 2021.

The students can only apply for “one” Category/ Stream of education for the Academic Year 2021-22. The duly filled-up forms may be submitted to the offices of the aforementioned Centres on or before 30th November 2021 during official working hours.

The Students who have availed of this Scholarship from previous years may also apply as fresh candidates.

Meghalaya Scholarship 2021: Pre & Post Metric and Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

Meghalaya Scholarship 2021:- The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Meghalaya, Shillong invites applications for Merit-Cum-Means based Scholarship and Pre and Post Matric Meghalaya Scholarship 2021  (Fresh and Renewal) from students who are permanent residents of Meghalaya for the year 2021-22. The last date for submission of online application is 15th and 30th November 2021.

1. Merit-Cum-Means based Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
  • Merit-Cum-Means based Scholarships a Central Sector Scheme.
  • Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students from notified minority communities viz. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhist, Zoroastrians(Parsis), and Jains, pursuing Technical & Professional Courses at Under Graduate/Post Graduate level in an institution recognized by an appropriate authority who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination are eligible for Merit Cum Means based Scholarship for the year 2021-22 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.
  • The income of both parents from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.50 (Lakh) per annum.

2. Post Matric Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
  • Post-Matric Scholarship is a Central Sector Scheme.
  • Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students from notified minority communities viz. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians(Parsis), and Jains, students pursuing any course in Government or Private institute from class XI to Ph.D. level who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination are eligible for Post Matric Scholarship for the year 2021-22to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.
    The income of both parents from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.0 (Lakh) per annum.

3. Pre-Matric Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
  • Pre-Matric Scholarships a Central Sector Scheme.
  • Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students from notified minority communities viz. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians(Parsis), and Jains, pursuing studies in Government or Private School from Class I to Class X who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination are eligible to apply for Pre-Matric Scholarship for the year 2021-22 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.
  • The income of both parents from all sources should not exceed Rs. 1.0 (Lakh) per annum.

How to apply for Meghalaya Scholarship 2021

Applications for these scholarships are to be submitted online through the URL www.scholarships.gov.in. Print out of duly filled-in application forms is also to be submitted to their respective institution along with all supporting documents. Only Online applications will be accepted and no request for an Offline application will be entertained.

The Last date for submission of the Online Application for the Fresh and Renewals scholarship is:

  • For Merit-Cum-Means based Scholarship: 30th November 2021.
  • For Post Matric Scholarship: 30th November 2021.
  • For Pre-Matric Scholarship: 15th November 2021.
