PM-Vidyalaxmi Scheme Approved: In a bid to offer financial support to merit students, the Union Cabinet has approved the PM-Vidyalaxmi scheme.
The scheme will provide collateral-free loans to help meritorious students pursue higher education without financial barriers.
According to media reports, the scheme is designed to provide financial support to students admitted to the top 860 institutions across India, reaching more than 22 lakh students annually.
” PM-Vidyalaxmi Scheme will benefit many students,” said UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar.
