Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyanna Scheme 2021 Launched by Gujarat Govt.

Gujarat government had launched Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyanna Scheme on 10 September 2020. This welfare scheme has 7 components designed for the overall development of farmers and the agriculture sector. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani re-launched this scheme from Gandhinagar in an event organized by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Co-operation. This launch event was simultaneously held at 80 places in 33 districts across the state.

In recent times, the Gujarat state has become a leading role model for the balanced development with new technology and modern farming methods in the agriculture, industry, service sector. In the Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyanna Yojana, 7 steps have been taken for the benefit of farmers.

The seven schemes include agriculture & economic upliftment, new crop production, crop storage, distribution, cow-based farming, Kisan Parivahan Yojana, and Mukhyamantri Pak Sangrah Structure Yojana.

Gujarat Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyanna Scheme 2021

The scheme covers seven welfare components such as cow-based organic farming, economic upliftment of farmers, adoption of new crop varieties, and distribution of Agri equipment to small and marginalized farmers. Of the seven components, the chief minister operationalized two major schemes for transportation and storage of produce. Out of the 7 schemes in Gujarat Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyanna Scheme, the 2 most important steps are Mukhyamantri Paak Sangrah Structure (Godown) Yojna and Kisan Parivahan Yojana. Mukhyamantri Paak Sangrah Structure Yojna

A new Mukhya Mantri Pak Sangrah Yojana has been introduced with a provision of Rs. 300 crore. In this scheme, govt. will provide farmers Rs. 30,000 per unit for the construction of on-farm storage (godown) structure. This will prevent crop-loss owing to unseasonal rain, cyclone, insect menace, and other factors. Under the crop storage scheme, farmers will get an assistance of Rs 30,000 to construct godowns to store their produce

Kisan Parivahan Yojana

With a view to enabling farmers to take their produce to other places to sell, Kisan Parivahan Yojana announced a provision of Rs. 30 crores under which farmers will be provided subvention of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000 for procuring light load-bearing vehicle. In the case of the transportation scheme, farmers will get financial assistance up to Rs 75,000 to buy small vehicles to transport their produce.

Benefits of Saat Pagla Khedut Kalyan Na Yojana

In the Mukhyamantri Pak Sangrah Yojana and Kisan Parivahan Yojana, govt. will provide financial assistance of Rs. 400 cr to 1.16 lakh farmers in a single day. With this assistance, in the next 3 months, the storage capacity of the state’s own godowns will be increased by 2.32 lakh tonnes and crop wastage will be prevented. In the Kisan Paribahan Sahay Yojna, farmers will be able to turn to economic prosperity by selling farm produce in the market in his small vehicle.

CM expressed the feeling of pride and mentioned that his govt. has worked proactively and solved problems of farmers of electric connection or urea fertilizer. Now the farmer gets timely fertilizer and 8 to 10 hours of electricity. In addition to this, Dinkar Yojana will provide electricity on a daily basis in the coming days. The state govt. has given loans to farmers at 0% interest and govt. has even purchased crops worth Rs. 15 thousand crores at MSP.

The Gujarat govt. has always focused on the development of poor, deprived, farmers and small traders. Farmers will make Gujarat a role model of agricultural revolution by producing record-breaking winter and summer crops. The state govt. is conducting a survey of the losses of crop and on the basis of this, assistance for the losses will be provided to them.
