A lockdown was announced in March to stop the spread of the corona virus in the country. There was a lockdown in the country from March 25 to May 31, 2020. From June 1, the central government started giving concessions. It was named Unlock-1. However, even during Unlock 1, many services like Metro, Bus remained banned. That being said, the government is considering giving more concessions in Unlock 2.

According to sources, around this time on June 30 (June 30 or a day before) the central government may issue a guideline on Unlock 2. That being said, an international flight could be launched in Unlock 2. However this service will be very limited. For example, flights from Delhi to New York and from Mumbai to New York may be started.

It may also allow private carrier flights from Gulf countries. However it is currently difficult to start services like school-college and metro as the state government is not seen ready for such a decision.

That said, between June 1 and June 30, the government lifted the ban on many items. Such as domestic airlines, shrines, hotels, restaurants, shopping malls were allowed to open. However all these orders were issued outside the containment zone i.e. for the general area. It also had a guideline from the central government that there would be a complete ban on activities from nine o’clock at night to five o’clock in the morning.

The third phase of opening of metro service, cinema hall, gym, swimming pool and amusement park was asked to consider the situation. But so far it has been kept closed.

Now it remains to be seen how much more concessions the central government gives to Unlock-2 and how many rights it gives to the state governments.
