UPSC CSE DAF II Application: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to close the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the Civil Services exam 2024. Eligible candidates can fill out their DAF form by visiting the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in till 6 pm today. 

The CSE Mains 2024 was conducted from 20 to 29 September 2024. The shortlisted applicants have to appear for the interview round. This Civil Services exam 2024 is conducted to fill out approximately 1056 posts. The commission will announce the UPSC CSE interview dates soon.

According to the official notice, “Dates of Personality Tests (Interviews) of these candidates will be notified in due course, which will be held in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069. The Personality Tests (Interviews) Schedule will be made available accordingly.”

Also,”The eSummon Letters of Personality Tests (Interviews) of the candidates will be made available in due course, which may be downloaded from the Commission’s Website https://www.upsc.gov.in & https://www.upsconline.in.”

“Any delay in submission of the DAF-II or documents in support beyond the prescribed date will not be allowed and will lead to cancellation of the candidature for the CSE 2024,” UPSC stated.

UPSC CSE DAF II Application: Rules to fill the form? 

  • Before the commencement of the interview or personality test of the examination, a candidate will be required to mandatorily indicate the order of preferences only for those services that are participating in the CSE 2024 and for which the candidate is interested in being allocated to in case of eventual selection, in the online DAF II. 
  • In case of recommendation of candidature for service allocation, the candidate will be considered by the government for allocation to one of those services for which the preference has been indicated by the candidate in the online DAF subject to fulfillment of other conditions. No change in preferences for services once submitted by a candidate would be allowed. In case preference for none of the services is indicated, the candidates will not be considered for service allocation. 
  • A candidate who wishes to be considered for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) or Indian Police Service (IPS) will be required to indicate in the online DAF II, the order of preferences for various zones and cadres for which the candidate would like to be considered for allotment in case of appointment to the IAS or IPS. No change in preference of zones and cadres once submitted by a candidate would be permitted.

UPSC CSE DAF II Application: How to fill out the form? 

  • Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. 
  • Then click on the application form link available on the home page. 
  • Enter your login credentials and fill out the form. 
  • After reviewing, click on submit. 
  • Candidates can take a printout for future reference.
