DU Admission: Two separate merit lists will be issued for admission to 13,500 seats in 77 postgraduate courses at Delhi University. One of these merit lists will be based on the Combined University Entrance Test (CUET) scores of both DU and non-DU students. The second merit list will be exclusively for DU students and will vary for each course. It is important to note that this year, admissions to DU’s postgraduate courses will be based on CUET scores.

Dual Merit Lists Based on CUET Scores

Delhi University offers 13,500 seats across 77 postgraduate programs in 58 departments, including seats under the Non Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB). This year, it has been decided to admit students to DU based on marks obtained in the Common University Entrance Test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The admission process for all postgraduate courses will be facilitated through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS PG), and students are required to register through this system. CSAS-PG will commence after the NTA declares the results.

According to officials, the seat allotment system will feature separate merit lists for each programme. There will be two categories of merit lists. The first list will be the common merit list, which will include both DU and non-DU graduates. The second category will exclusively include DU students. Seats will be allocated to students based on their highest preference and the availability of seats on the programme-specific merit list.

Students will need to wait for the registration process for postgraduate admissions to begin. It is likely that the registration process will commence in the second week of July. Prior to that, the application process may be initiated for admission to three new B.Tech programs introduced this year.
