बिहार भारत के सबसे बड़े राज्य में से एक है जिसका क्षेत्रफल के हिसाब से भारत में 13वां रैंक और जनसंख्या के हिसाब से तीसरा सबसे बड़ा राज्य है।
बिहार का गठन 22 मार्च 1912 में हुआ था और आगे इसे 15 नवंबर 2000 में नया राज्य झारखंड बनाने के लिए सौंप दिया गया था। पटना बिहार की राजधानी है, पटना 38 जिलों में बिहार का सबसे बड़ा शहर भी है।
