Check EESL UJALA LED Bulb / Fan / Tubelight Dashboard – The govt. has been implementing the UJALA scheme under which govt. agency Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) provides LED bulbs at affordable prices. This scheme is being implemented across the country. This is the world’s largest non-subsidized scheme that means the consumer has to pay to buy LED bulbs.

According to the data, over 36 crores LED bulbs have been successfully distributed under the Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances for All (UJALA) program. And also the distributors have distributed over 72 lakh LED tube-lights and 23 lakh energy efficient fans under the scheme. EESL Implementing Ujala Scheme in India
The program is being implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Power Ministry, which has cooperated with various power distribution companies (discomes) in 29 states and seven Union Territories.
Ujala Yojana Benefits
LED Bulbs Benefits – To date, energy saved per year through Ujala LED bulbs is 47,659 mn kWh, cost saved is Rs. 19,064 crores, avoided peak demand of 9,542 MW and CO2 Reduction per year is 3,86,03,953 t CO2.
Ujala Fan Benefits – To date, energy saved per year through Ujala fans is 21,76,69,290 kWh, cost-saving per day is Rs. 74,00,75,586, avoided peak demand of 59 MW and CO2 Reduction per year is 1,78,489 t CO2.
LED Tubelights Benefits – To date, energy saved per year through Ujala LED Tubelights is 31,57,14,824 kWh, cost-saving per year is Rs. 1,07,34,30,401, avoided peak demand of 144 MW and CO2 Reduction per year is 2,58,886 t CO2.
Warranty for Ujala LED Bulb / Fan / Tubelights
The Ujala LED bulbs and Tube Lights come with a three-year warranty while the energy-efficient fans come with a 2.5-year warranty under the scheme. The EESL would replace the bulbs, tube lights, and fans free of cost under the warranty period if a technical problem occurs.
The LED bulbs have already proved to be the electricity and money savers for the consumers as well as the government. The distribution of the LED tube lights and fans would further help in saving energy for peak demand and reducing energy bills for the consumers.
